CLUB MEETINGS 2026

We restarted meetings in January and usually have the Raffle and the interval Tea & Biscuits.

THESE ARE DATES CURRENTLY BOOKED

2026 Meetings will all be at Bideford Baptist Church Hall with 2.30pm start and  access on foot from Mill Street - limited parking for speaker and disabled members. Please ask for details. We are trying to keep interest going with new members joining and have decided to hold meetings in January and February which have previously been avoided in view of possible bad weather but with a warm hall now we are going to see if it is practical.

13th January - AGM & Starting the year with your plants

10th February - Caradoc Doy returns with Plant Hunters and Pioneers - The Robert Veitch Nurseries of Exeter and Chelsea and William & Thomas Lobb from Cornwall

10th March - Paul Rendell (Mr Dartmoor) Wild Plants of Dartmoor.

7th April - David Usher - Talk on Hestercombe Garden where he was head gardener

10th May- Trip to Hartland Abbey & Gardens  £12 garden admission optional £2.50 for house on the day Guests £25

21st June - Trip to Hestercombe Gardens Taunton. £14 admission per member with free coach or  £30.00 total for guests

7th July - Steve & Dawn Morgan  - Passionflowers as seen on Gardeners World plus Show Planning Meeting

16th August - 58th  Flower Show - Bideford Pannier Market

8th September - Saul Walker “My Life as Chelsea Show Organiser”

13th October - Sue Minter - A talk on Alicia Amherst the writer of the first History of Gardening book

10th November - Speaker to be announced

8th December - Speaker to be announced - Christmas Floral Art
