Our 58th Show A Big Change this year as the market is being renovated and Honestone Street remains closed for the rest of the year.

Annually we organise our Open Flower Show, featuring the National Begonia Society’s South West Regional Show.

I’ve been researching the possible alternative locations for the show since I found out the Pannier Market will be closed for a lot of renovation from March. I’ve visited Bideford College to meet the lady responsible for letting The Devon Hall. We can have that but it means moving to the Saturday as its in use on Sunday’s for a service. The hall is now booked for and paid for and we have very good arrangements for access.

Thursday 13th August we can bring in our tabling and staging effects and lay out the hall from 4.30pm through to 9.00pm if we need that long. Limited tables of the school examination type are available and we can use these with our hardboard tops some of which need repairs. I’ve also approached Bideford Town Council to see if we could borrow the tables from the Pannier Market as it will be under renovation work at the time and have been told they will be open to offers for the tables as going forward there will not be use for them.

Setting up & Marking out will be possible on Friday 14th from 4.30pm to 9.00pm and staging that evening and Saturday morning staging is from 7.30 to 10.00am.
